Olivia Carville

Olivia Carville is an award-winning junior reporter at The Press. She started working for the newsroom in November 2010, after a two-week internship with the newspaper earlier that year. Olivia found herself covering a tragedy of international proportions on February 22, only three months after starting her career. She was awarded Canon Junior Reporter of the Year in 2011 and also won Fairfax Media Journalist of the Year in 2012. She began as a breaking news reporter fronting videos for press.co.nz but now covers the health round for The Press.
Olivia studied english, law and media in Wellington and Christchurch before completing a Post Graduate Diploma in journalism at Auckland University of Technology.
