Fiona Cassidy

Fiona has twenty years experience at a strategic communications level developing, implementing and monitoring public relations campaigns.
She has worked as a general manager, communications and marketing manager and consultant. She has extensive experience in a number of sectors including health, education, emergency services, finance, social services, working with Maori and the agricultural sector.
Fiona is committed to the continued development of the communication and public relations profession. She led the APR programme for many years and also has lectured part time at Massey University. Today she continues to present professional development workshops for the communication and public relations industry.
Fiona is currently employed as the Director of Defence Communications at the New Zealand Defence Force, a role she had for just over a year.
Fiona has a Master in Business Studies endorsed in Communication Management and a Master in Philosophy.
She is the Past President of the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand.
